Description of my research and engagement with South Asia and its diaspora focuses on the mental health dynamics within familial settings, particularly among Bangladeshi communities in Canada. My MA thesis, titled "Role of men in supporting women partners with Postpartum Depression (PPD): A study among Bangladeshis in Canada," explores how male partners perceive, prioritize, played role in dealing with postpartum depression of theire women partnes as a health concern.

My research aligns with CIRCLE's goals by exploring postpartum depression among Bangladeshis, a key demographic within the South Asian diaspora. Having received a CIRCLE graduate research grant, I am poised to contribute valuable insights and generate new knowledge pertinent to the South Asian context, enhancing understanding and interventions in mental health within this community.
