I was awarded Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute’s Canadian Faculty Enrichment Program Fellowship in 2009. In 2010 I did a project on ‘Cinema of Social Consciousness’ funded by Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute, Calgary, Canada. This project involved working with select NGOs in South India on areas of gender and responsible livelihood. I was a Visiting Faculty at Simon Fraser University , Vancouver in 2012. I have delivered in-person lectures at Queen's University, Kingston and University of Guelph in September 2022.
I am interested in CIRCLE's research in the areas of South Asian Studies, Gender, and culture and society. In March 2021, I collaborated with the University of Guelph Canada, and organised a conference ‘Towards New Vision: Women in Films, Media & Beyond’. This event was sponsored by SICI’s Golden Jubilee Lecture Series and Conference Grant.
