Launch of Asia Hub of the Society for Social-Ecological Systems (SocSES)

The Society for Social-Ecological Systems (SocSES), is a new global organization of the world's leading sustainability scholars and practitioners focused on human-nature relationships. An online launch of the Asia hub is happening on 26 March 2026 (Thursday)  - Asia time (noon 12:00 Japan)/ (20:00 LA/PDT on 25th).

The SocSes Asian regional hub will connect sustainability scholars and practitioners working in various Asian sub-regions, including East Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, Central Asia, and the Middle East. The Asian hub aims to amplify local voices and link contextual Asian regional expertise to global sustainability efforts.
