I am broadly interested in the intersections of humour and popular culture and discrimination. In my research, I explore how stand-up comedy as a performative genre, discriminates against marginalized caste and gender categories.

I am interested in becoming an affiliate member at the CIRCLE because I believe I will be able to benefit from the research and networking opportunities it provides. I am interested in setting up dialogues with others interested in my broader reaserach areas and think that the CIRCLE will be the appropriate avenue of setting those up.
