Koustab Majumdar
As a CIRCLE member, I would like to contribute to the Indo-Candian international comparative research, especially in the field of social welfare policy, international social work and rural transformation. As a mixed-method researcher, my principal aim is to contribute to social development by bringing strong international comparative research. This also enables me to work with other members.
I am presently associated with Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute (RKMVERI) and Visiting Scholar (Post-Doc) of International Center of Cultural Studies, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU). I am the recipient of the Taiwan Fellowship (2023) granted by Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), Taiwan. My key research focuses on rural transformation, indigenous social welfare policy, international social work and well-being studies. My forthcoming book (edited) "Indigenization Discourse in Social Work: International Perspectives" (2023) is being published by Springer.
