Bina Agarwal awarded first 'Global Inequality Research Award'

The first Global Inequality Research Award was awarded to Bina Agarwal, Professor of Development Economics and Environment, University of Manchester, for her work on gender inequalities, environmental governance, feminist environmentalism, and environmental inequalities. The award will be presented on March 19, 2025, by Lucas Chancel and Thomas Piketty, to be followed by a public lecture.

Agarwal holds an honorary degree from the University of Guelph which she received in 2022.
