Successful PhD Defence by CIRCLE Member Garima Sarkar

Garima Sarkar successfully defended her PhD dissertation, "Barriers to Women in Politics: Candidate Selection and Informal Party Politics in India" on September 20, 2024. Garima is graduating from the Department of Political Science, Faculty of Social Sciences, at McMaster University. She successfully defended her dissertation in the presence of her examining committee chaired by Dr. Ahmed Shafiqul Huque (McMaster University), Dr. Netina Tan (primary supervisor; McMaster University), Dr. Michelle Lyn. Dion (supervisory Committee member; McMaster University), Peter Graefe (supervisory Committee member; McMaster University), and Dr. Rashmi Singh (external examiner) from O.P. Jindal Global University, India.
