New Funded Research: A Tale of North-South IPR Conflicts and Cooperation: Pharma in India and Canada

Dr. Tirtha Dhar of the Department of Marketing and Consumer Studies at the University of Guelph and Dr. Arindam Banik of the Department of Economics at the International Management Institute, New Delhi, will lead a study on the interplay of various forces on the pharma industry in India and Canada.

The two-year study, funded by a Shastri Institutional Collaborative Research Grant (SICRG) from the Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute, is titled "A Tale of North-South IPR Conflicts and Cooperation: Exploring the interplay of Market Structure, FDI, Imitation, Innovation and IPRs in the Pharma Industry in India and Canada." The Collaborative Research Project grant is also supported by funds from Ministry of Higher Education (MoE), Government of India.
