My research focuses on investigating molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying neurodegenerative disease and developing regenerative therapy. I use patient-derived induced pluripotent stem cell model systems to study the effects of aberrant alpha-synuclein in Parkinson’s disease. The innovative approach uses high-resolution imaging techniques coupled with biochemical analysis to model, understand, and treat neurodegenerative diseases using stem cell technology.
I want to be a member of CIRCLE to establish new connections in the diverse research fields in Canada and make interdisciplinary collaborative efforts toward achieving sustainable development goals.
I wish to bring biomedical science-related knowledge and experience to the cohort.
