My interest within South Asia is related to its food. I plan to examine the nutritional value of commonly consumed foods in South Asia. I have a strong passion for holistic and Ayurvedic approaches and how they intersect with modern foods, particularly those present in Western societies. I would like to research on the lifestyles changes that have been introduced in the West, how they impede our ability to retain a healthy lifestyle, and how it all intersects with the profitability to our health-care systems (particularly in the United States).

It is imperative that we, as a community, do our part in advocating and showcasing the challenges and prosperities of the South Asian diaspora and to share that knowledge with the world. This is exactly what CIRCLE has set out to do and I am really inspired by the work being done in this field. As a visible Muslim, I can really understand and appreciate this organization because it can bring relevant and serious conversations to the table for everyone to understand and address. I'm currently using social media to increase awareness and engagement of the organization and look forward to seeing us grow.
