I am investigating the pivotal role of social workers in shaping social policy within India. This work has reinforced my conviction that social workers play a crucial role in advocating for social justice and equality worldwide. Their efforts to address societal inequities and support vulnerable populations underscore the potential for significant impact through informed policy intervention, and also My research interest lies at the intersection of social policy, social work, and migrational studies, with a focus on India and the broader South Asian region. I explore the socio-economic impacts of migration on both origin and destination communities, analyzing policy responses and their efficacy. My work delves into the dynamics of the Indian and South Asian diasporas, investigating their contributions to home and host countries, and how transnational networks influence social development and cultural exchange.
