My doctoral research focuses on n studying city space through the lens of gastronomy. I am interested to look at food related interjections in culture and place making. Public culture of eating in South Asia interests me. Besided plenty and pot boiler representations I am also interested in lack like studying the colonial famines and conflicts of nation building phases that gave rise to food related scarcities and disasters.
Its a wonderful network which is research oriented and resourceful for researchers. The focus on South Asia is what prompted me towards this membership. I would like to create and collaborate with CIRCLE in my ongoing and future research endeavours.
