My work focuses on political parties and various modalities of their engagements, especially extra-electoral, within the South Asian political sphere. The extra-electoral dimension I focus on includes the politics of clientelist welfare and why parties resort to non-state welfare interventions navigating Indian Political institutions. A considerable part of this stress laid on party-run non-state welfare also includes global diasporic networks that attempt to link back with parties operating in the home electoral spaces of Peninsular India via philanthropic activities.
I intend to join the CIRCLE community so that the platform provides space for gaining access to fresh and exciting scholarship on South Asian/Indian politics and socio-economic dynamics. This is in addition to the possibilities that it may provide for a global receptance and reviewing of my own research into allied dimensions, especially concerning party politics and welfare.
